Resources

  • We get most of our furniture grade lumber right here in Lunenburg County from Windhorse Farm. Not only is the quality extremely high and consistent, but the farm also follows the protocols for sustainable silviculture, including the principles and practises for ecoforestry woodlots.
  • Another supplier of fine specialty woods is Halifax Specialty Hardwoods www.halifaxspecialtyhardwoods.com
  • As a serious woodworker, when I find a source for excellent hardware and woodworking tools, I am inclined to share it. Lee Valley Tools is such a source, and I use their hardware in many of my products.

Mission Furniture Examples

  • If you’d like to see more examples of  high end Mission Style furniture, take a look at the Stickley Gallery for some ideas. We can hand-craft similar pieces that are custom-designed for your needs.

Memberships

Charlotte and I feel it is important to stay connected and active in our communities as well as in our work. Part of that connection involves maintaining memberships in the local arts councils:

  • Nova Scotia Designer Crafts Council (NSDCC)
We are members of this long-established organization and are proud to have had our work juried, and to have exhibited at the ‘Show of Hands’ Craft Market and the Pier 21 Christmas Craft Market.
  • South Shore Arts (SSAC)
We have been members of our local arts council since near its inception, and have exhibited at the SSAC Fall Festivals.
