Here, Allan Rutherford creates furniture from  quarter-sawn white oak, red oak, cherry, and walnut - woods that are often carefully selected from sustainable forestry sources - to bring to life his own interpretation of the Mission Furniture style, which is also known as the Arts and Crafts Style.

The solid walnut and curly maple sofa table can also be used as a hall table or even as a small server. With design roots in the Arts & Crafts tradition, this table has a modern Art Deco flare. Solid walnut construction with curly maple drawer fronts. Three Indian marble inserts in the top - a natural quarry stone - add unique flare with their resemblance to tree roots or branches.

The Deacon’s Bench (image above) is solid quartersawn red oak with raised panels. Hand-forged iron hinges. Black walnut Danish oil and polyurethane finish.  A true classic that offers versatile and  generous storage for linens, sweaters, hats/mittens,  etc.

Walnut and Birdseye Maple Coffee Table
This classy, Modern Coffee Table with Mission Roots is crafted with a Marble Mosaic inlaid  top with spindle and corbel base. Created of solid black walnut with Birdseye Maple spindles and shelf.
